Gurona is a 2011 KWPN mare by Charmeur (Florencio I / Jazz) out of Balona (Sandreo (Sandro Hit) / Vanitas). With her eye catching movement and wonderful conformation, this spectacular mare is an exciting new addition to our breeding program. Gurona was imported from Germany at the age of two but due to an unfortunate injury, her career as a performance horse was cut short. She is now an incredible broodmare and her quality is a testament to her famous dressage lineage.
Gurona is by the handsome dressage stallion, Charmeur (Florencio I / Jazz) and out of a Sandreo mare (Sandro Hit / Flemmingh). Charmeur possesses such a magnetic demeanor that he became a real eye catcher at his licensing in Den Bosch. In 2010 he won his stallion test and went on to have repeated success in his sporting career. In 2011 at four years old, Charmeur won the Dutch Pavo Cup. In 2012 he did it again. At six years old, he won the Stallion Championships in Den Bosch – boasting a 10.0 for both the trot and canter. Charmeur’s pedigree speaks volumes of his talent and performance abilities. His sire, Florencio I was twice a winner of the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses. His dam’s sire, Jazz, is one of the most famous dressage horses in the world.
Gurona’s dam’s sire, Sandreo, boasts a long list of accomplishments from his dressage career and as a breeding stallion. This remarkable dark bay stallion is known for his refinement, lightness, and superb quality of gaits. His sire, Sandro Hit, needs no introduction. Winnter of the Championship of Germany and the World Championship as a six year old in 1999. Given the title “Best Young Stallion” in 2000. Sandro Hit went on to become one of the most famous names in warmblood dressage breeding. Sandreo has numerous approved sons in various studbooks.
