VIP Vandetto FMB is a 2017 colt by Valentino Z out of our homebred Oldenburg mare, Airway FMB (Aliano / Roemer). VIP Vandetto is a handsome bay with three socks and a unique star and snip. He is a well put together and strong colt that will be a super contender for the jumper ring as well as a stallion prospect. He is sold.

Pedigree

VIP Vandetto FMB is by Valentino Z, a son of Darco who is without doubt one of the best sport stallions in history. Under Ludo Phillipaerts, Darco was 6th in the WC in Stockholm 1990, and 7th in the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992. Darco consistently passes on his jumping talent to his offspring. More than forty registered offspring in the Breeding Guide for international jumpers turns Darco into one of the most influential stallions of all time, including the ranking of #1 showjumping sire in 2008. Damsire Feo de Lauzelle produced a range of international jumpers including It’s Me, Miss Flo and Tiramisu.

The mother line of Valentino Z includes the French stallions Iveday (Night and Day xx) and Quastor (Ibrahim) and the mare Une Page (Quest France – Fra Diavolo xx). Une Page was the grandmother of the French stallions Lotus du Marais (Nankin), Leopard du Marais (Silver Matal xx) and Ouragan du Marais (Hadj A). Night and Day XX was the sire of Primo des Bruyeres, who in turn sired Olympic Jus de Pomme. Valentino Z brings a very exciting pedigree to North America.

VIP Vandetto’s dam sire is imported Holsteiner, Aliano. Aliano was in Grand Prix Dressage training and has competed successfully up to the Intermediare I level. He comes from the famous STAMM 318D2, which has a strong reputation in breeding and sport. It is the direct motherline of the stallions Corofino I and II, Diorado, Diarado among many others.

VIP Vandetto’s grandmother Innsbruck ISF was a top performance mare in Jumper, Dressage, and Eventing. She received the top score at her KWPN IBOP test (MPT), was named Keur Predikaat, chosen as the best of the best by an international jury at the keurings, as well as won numerous performance awards from the USDF.

VIP Vandetto’s great grand-sire, Roemer, holds a legendary international record as a breeding stallion. This 17-hand Preferent Dutch Warmblood, 1975-1996, was the top producer of dressage horses in Holland for over seven years. He was the leading sire in the USDF Horse of the Year standings over an eleven year period. His talented offspring have competed successfully in dressage through the Grand Prix Level.
