Arkoz FMB

2006 | Oldenburg NA (Premium & Champion) | Aliano / Sandsturm / Gardeoffizier

Arkoz FMB is a 16.2hh 2006 Premium and Champion Oldenburg colt by Aliano out of our Hanoverian Verband mare Sanna (Sandsturm). Arkoz earned the highest score of his inspection and the title of Canadian Champion as well as the second highest score in North America out of over 500 foals inspected. Arkoz is full brother to Alejandro FMB (2007) and Aliana Easter Gift FMB (2005).

Pedigree

Arkoz’s imported Holsteiner sire, Aliano, was in Grand Prix Dressage training and has competed successfully up to the Intermediare I level. Aliano comes from the famous STAMM 318D2, which has a strong reputation in breeding and sport. It is the direct motherline of the stallions Corofino I and II, Diorado, Diarado among many others.

Aliano’s sire, Aljano is half-brother to the stallion “Olympic Gestion Silvano N” (by a Tropica mare). Silvano N was ridden by Ellen Bontje for the Dutch Equestrian Team and sold to none other than the legendary Paul Schockemöhle in Germany. Aliano stamps his offspring with his type — with good conformation, super temperaments, and talent for a variety of disciplines.

In the fall of 2014, Aliano was presented to the AHHA after he had met his dressage performance requirements. He earned impressive scores and Judge Michael Gonell remarked that “Americans should be standing more stallions like Aliano that excel at both dressage and jumping.” Aliano’s versatility, talent, and temperament are consistently seen in his very typey offspring.

Aliano and Sandsturm

Arkoz’s dam sire, Sandsturm, is the offspring of the fabulous jumper stallion Sendbote. Every dam in Sandsturm’s pedigree is States Premium Mare status, quite an accomplishment. Imported to the US/Canada from Germany. Limited breedings produced at least 9 approved stallion sons and many States Premium daughters. Sandsturm offspring are competing at the highest FEI levels in dressage and show jumping. Sandsturm was known for throwing his sound mind and excellent temperament as well.

Arkoz FMB

What I like to most about Arkoz is the fact that he’s a ‘one-rider’ type of horse. He gives everything he’s got when he knows and befriends his rider. Goofy, athletic, affectionate and well behaved, he’s everything I’ve ever dreamed of. Plus, I’ve ridden him up to Third Level in dressage before starting a jumper career with him. He’s quite the athlete. He’s very versatile and enjoys both disciplines. Not only is he a truly elegant and handsome horse, he’s a joy to work with. Thank you Mélanie for breeding such quality in Quebec!
