Sanna was one of our founding mares in our breeding program and while Sanna is sadly no longer with us, her memory lives on in her offspring. Sanna was a 1988 16.2hh bay Hanoverian Verband mare by Sandsturm / Gardeoffizier / Winkel. Sanna was approved with both the Hanoverian Verband and the Oldenburg NA. She was the loving mother of Aliana Easter Gift FMB (2005), Arkoz FMB (2006), Alejandro FMB (2007), Radieux FMB (2008), and Equinoxe FMB (2009).
Sanna has produced one licensed son by Rotspon: Radieux FMB is a 2008 chestnut Hanoverian Verband stallion who proudly received his breeding license in the Fall of 2011 with the Oldenburg NA, boasting the highest score across Canada (220.5pts) including an 8 for his jumping ability. The judge found his rideability was incredible for his age. Radieux FMB has a super temperament and is suitable for all disciplines.
Pedigree
Sandsturm is the offspring of the fabulous jumper stallion Sendbote. Every dam in Sandsturm’s pedigree is States Premium Mare status, quite an accomplishment. Imported to the US/Canada from Germany. Limited breedings produced at least 9 approved stallion sons and many States Premium daughters. Sandsturm offspring are competing at the highest FEI levels in dressage and showjumping. Sandsturm was known for throwing his sound mind and excellent temperament as well.
Gardeoffizier’s sire, Gotthard, was truly one of the greats. For seven years he was the leading sire of show-jumpers in Germany; his influence continues to the present day. During his time he sired over 34 licensed stallion sons. Gotthard was also influential as a mare sire and he was responsible for 26 States Premium mares. 
He was the sire of international show jumpers, Goya, Goldika, Gonzales, Galipolis, Queensway Big Q, Goldfink, Golden Gate, Graf Sieno and Graf 2. Gotthard’s son, Genever sired Genius, the World Cup Showjumping Champion of 1992.
Gotthard produced over fifty horses to compete internationally In 1975, a list of top stallions was published, Gotthard was number one in terms of prize money won. Eventually his competing progeny numbered 398, with earnings of almost two million deutschmarks.

Equinoxe FMB is a 2011 chestnut Hanoverian filly by Escudo I. Equinoxe is a flashy filly with four socks and a blaze. With her athletic ability, Equinoxe is destined for the jumper ring. She is now called Tristarr’s Equinoxe.
Radieux FMB proudly received his breeding license in the Fall of 2011 with the Oldenburg NA, boasting the highest score across Canada (220.5pts) including an 8 for his jumping ability.
Alejandro FMB is a 2007 Premium Canadian Champion and North American Reserve Champion Oldenburg colt by Aliano out of our mare Sanna (Sandsturm).
Aliana Easter Gift FMB is a 2005 16.3 hh Oldenburg mare by Aliano out of our mare Sanna (Sandsturm). Aliana is being retained for our breeding program.
