Pedigree
Aracruz’s imported Holsteiner sire, Aliano, was in Grand Prix Dressage training and has competed successfully up to the Intermediare I level. Aliano comes from the famous STAMM 318D2, which has a strong reputation in breeding and sport. It is the direct motherline of the stallions Corofino I and II, Diorado, Diarado among many others. Aliano’s sire, Aljano is half-brother to the stallion “Olympic Gestion Silvano N” (by a Tropica mare). Silvano N was ridden by Ellen Bontje for the Dutch Equestrian Team and sold to none other than the legendary Paul Schockemöhle in Germany. Aliano stamps his offspring with his type — with good conformation, super temperaments, and talent for a variety of disciplines.
In the fall of 2014, Aliano was presented to the AHHA after he had met his dressage performance requirements. He earned impressive scores and Judge Michael Gonell remarked that “Americans should be standing more stallions like Aliano that excel at both dressage and jumping.” Aliano’s versatility, talent, and temperament are consistently seen in his very typey offspring.
Aracruz’s grand-sire, Roemer, holds a legendary international record as a breeding stallion. This 17-hand Preferent Dutch Warmblood, 1975-1996, was the top producer of dressage horses in Holland for over seven years. He was the leading sire in the USDF Horse of the Year standings over an eleven year period. His talented offspring have competed successfully in dressage through the Grand Prix Level. Roemer stood at Iron Spring Farms.
