Pedigree
Abellina’s imported Holsteiner sire, Aliano, was in Grand Prix Dressage training and has competed successfully up to the Intermediare I level. Aliano comes from the famous STAMM 318D2, which has a strong reputation in breeding and sport. It is the direct motherline of the stallions Corofino I and II, Diorado, Diarado among many others. In the fall of 2014, Aliano was presented to the AHHA after he had met his dressage performance requirements. He earned impressive scores and Judge Michael Gonell remarked that “Americans should be standing more stallions like Aliano that excel at both dressage and jumping.” Aliano’s versatility, talent, and temperament are consistently seen in his very typey offspring.
Abellina’s dam sire is Pablito – a modern, 16.2hh dark bay Elite Hanoverian stallion by Pablo (Pilot) / Arsenik (Absatz) / Steinhager (Steinpilz xx). Pablito comes from proven performance horse lineage, sire, Pablo – HLP, was reserve Champion premium stallion with 52 Grand Prix offspring and 16 licensed son’s – and through his Grand Prix jumping mother dam sire, Arsenik (HLP Champion), who is not present in the bloodlines of any other Hanoverian licensed stallion in the US. Pablito possesses the jumping style and desire of his famous grand sire Pilot, youngest millionaire ever through progeny winnings in German history. Pablito combines the correct conformation, movement and rideability of his sire Pablo with the athletic ability and great type of his dam sire Arsenik (Absatz) and great dam sire Steinhager (Steinpilz xx), also a Grand Prix producer.
Abellina’s great grand-sire, Riverman, was the Reserve Champion of his Holsteiner stallion licensing, where he was titled the “Top Model” of the approvals. Riverman stood as a Verband stallion for three years, producing high percentages of premium offspring. After these foal crops, Riverman stood 2nd in the 2000 German FN’s Jumping Index and 3rd in the Overall Index for stallions of his age group, due to the success of his offspring in both dressage and jumping competition.
Shortly after his importation to the US, Riverman won the 1995 Grand Championship at Dressage at Devon. His clearly suspended and elevated movement showed tremendous fluidity and suppleness, and combined with his beautiful type captured the attention of breeders in North America.
